Occasionally, you might want to throw your jeans in the dryer to make them shrinka little and tighten then back into a perfect fit. But, the dryer should not be part of your weekly jean laundering routine.

Here are some tips on how to dry jeans while keeping them in top condition.

  • You don’t need to wash your jeans every time you wear them. You can wear your jeans at least five times without them smelling bad. This will cut down on times you need to dry them.

  • The safest method is to air-dry your jeans. Hang them on a clothesline outside. To prevent stretching, pin them by the waist. Keep them out of direct sunlight to prevent fading.

  • If it’s too cloudy to dry your jeans outside, fold them over a hanger and hang them in your shower overnight.
